LNG

Through the production, delivery and supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG), EDL provides customers with a viable long-term energy source for power generation and transport, particularly in locations with limited energy infrastructure.

LNG is created by chilling natural gas to minus 161˚C, turning it to liquid. During this process, the gas is reduced to 1/600 of its original volume, making it economical to transport long distances in this form. When compared with diesel, LNG is lower cost, generates lower greenhouse gas and particulate emissions and is much quieter in operation.

EDL also developed an innovative haulage system for delivering LNG to remote power stations that service mining operations and remote communities.
