James Harman - image
James Harman

Chief Executive Officer

James was appointed CEO of EDL in October 2016. He has led EDL’s rapid global expansion, including investing in biomethane to transportation fuel projects and biomethane to electricity projects in North America and delivering innovative large-scale hybrid renewable microgrid projects in remote areas of Australia, enabling the effective transition from fossil fuels. He is keenly focused on safety, growth and diversification into new markets as EDL strives to be the leading global producer of sustainable distributed energy.

James is a Director of the Board of the Australian Energy Council, and he also sits on the Board of Bioenergy Australia. A highly experienced global executive, he has held senior executive positions with top tier natural resource companies in Europe and Australia for close to 20 years before joining EDL. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and a Master’s degree in Laws.

Shane McLaughlin - image
Shane McLaughlin

Global Head of Projects

Shane joined EDL in March 2007 and was appointed Global Head of Projects in 2024. He is responsible for project development, construction and delivery of EDL’s global portfolio of projects.

Prior to becoming Global Head of Projects, Shane served as Chief Operating Officer for seven years. An experienced project manager and operations leader for 42 years, Shane has worked in electricity distribution, transmission, power generation, retail, construction and operations throughout Australia, the USA and UK.

Before joining EDL, he was a Group Manager at ENERGEX where he was responsible for leading project delivery, development and operations of the national generation business. He has a Master’s degree in Business Administration and an Associate Diploma of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Susan Marrinan - image
Susan Marrinan

Chief Financial Officer

Susan joined EDL as Chief Financial Officer in October 2017. She is responsible for a range of corporate functions including Finance, Human Resources, Sustainability, Communications, Energy Markets and Supply Chain.

An experienced executive, with more than 25 years of experience in a number of finance and corporate development roles with Rio Tinto, Atlantic Richfield, Shell and Anglo American. Most recently she was a senior executive with Anglo American in London. She is a Chartered Accountant and has Bachelor’s degrees in Commerce and Arts.

Jason Dickfos - image
Jason Dickfos

Chief Operating Officer

Jason joined EDL in February 2005 and was appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2024. He is responsible for safety, and profit and loss management across the global EDL operations.

Prior to becoming Chief Operating Officer, Jason had global responsibility for growth and business development for EDL. Before joining EDL, he had over 10 years experience in the oil and gas industry working in both Project Delivery and Operations roles at remote oil refineries, oilfields and gas processing facilities in Australia, Papua New Guinea and the USA. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Business Administration - Technology Management.

Natalie Rose - image
Natalie Rose

Head of Growth, Technology & Strategy

Natalie joined EDL in 2017 and was appointed Head of Growth, Technology & Strategy in 2024. In addition to framing and setting company strategy, Natalie leads the global Growth teams, focusing on originating, developing and acquiring new distributed energy solutions across EDL’s global business.

Before joining EDL, Natalie had 20 years experience in senior commercial and strategy roles with Aurizon in Brisbane and, JP Morgan Chase and Goldman Sachs in London. She has a Bachelor of Business Management and Bachelor of Arts (Psychology).

Glen Marshall - image
Glen Marshall

Head of Legal, Regulatory Affairs and Company Secretary

Glen joined EDL in June 2003 and is the Head of Legal, Regulatory Affairs and a joint Company Secretary of EDL's Australian companies. Glen provides strategic legal advice to support EDL’s business, along with oversight of Regulatory Affairs.

A highly experienced legal practitioner with over 25 years of experience, before joining EDL Glen held roles with leading legal firms in Australia and overseas, working in a broad range of corporate, commercial and projects in various sectors. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Laws and Business (Accounting) and a Master’s degree in Laws.

Jenny Mackay - image
Jenny Mackay

General Manager Technical Services

Jenny joined EDL in 2020 and now leads the shared services technical teams who are focused on managing EDL’s technical opportunities and risks. She also implements solutions for safe, compliant, economic, and reliable operations and growth.

Jenny has held a diverse range of operational and technical roles across operational excellence, asset and risk management, governance and compliance, technology implementation, operational readiness, commissioning and optimisation. She is a Chartered Chemical Engineer with postgraduate qualifications in Safety and Change Management.

Michelle Knight - image
Michelle Knight

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and Compliance Manager

Michelle is EDL’s global HSE and Compliance Manager and focuses on developing and delivering HSE strategies to align with our company priorities, coupled with good governance to protect our people, mitigate risk exposure, increase productivity, and reduce incidents. Michelle is an accomplished HSE professional with extensive leadership experience across multiple industries.

Before joining EDL, Michelle held HSE leadership roles at global companies such as Honeywell and Shell/QGC. She has a degree in health sciences and a postgraduate degree in business management from Massey University and is an accredited member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Occupational Medicine.

North America

Richard DiGia - image
Richard DiGia

Chief Executive Officer – North America

Rick was appointed as CEO – North America in February 2022. He is responsible for safe production and project delivery, efficient operations and the sustainable growth of EDL’s North American business. A senior executive with over 40 years’ industry experience, Rick has held executive, development and operations leadership roles in the waste to energy sector.

Prior to joining EDL, he was President and CEO of Aria Energy, where he successfully led the business through a series of acquisitions and greenfield developments across a range of applications for biomethane resources, including renewable natural gas (RNG). Rick has been an active member of the Coalition for RNG since its founding in 2011. He has a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science, Biology.

Raymond Ivers - image
Raymond Ivers

Head of Operations

Raymond joined EDL in October 2019 with the acquisition of Broadrock Renewables. He is focused on safe, efficient and productive operations, and exceeding customer expectations. A senior executive with over 30 years’ relevant professional experience including 15 years in the energy industry, Raymond held strategic finance and management roles with major US power generation, hydroelectric, wind and pumped storage companies.

Most recently he was CEO and CFO of Broadrock Renewables LLC. He is an associate member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and has a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Finance and a Master’s degree in Business Administration.

Stephanie Reeves - image
Stephanie Reeves

General Counsel

As EDL’s General Counsel North America, Stephanie is involved in supporting all aspects of EDL’s work in the renewable energy space, with a particular focus on commercial structuring of renewable natural gas (RNG) transactions including gas rights and renewable energy sales agreements.

Stephanie has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry. Prior to joining EDL, Stephanie was primary counsel to DTE Biomass Energy, Inc. and to the reduced emissions fuels group of DTE Energy Services, Inc., both of which are divisions in DTE Energy’s non-regulated power and industrial business. She also served as counsel to the Gas, Storage, and Pipelines unit in DTE Energy’s non-regulated gas storage and pipelines business. Stephanie holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology, a Juris Doctor degree, and a Master of Laws in Tax.

Diane Schemanske - image
Diane Schemanske

Head of Corporate Services

Diane joined EDL in June 2021 as the Head of Corporate Services – North America and is responsible for corporate services including Finance, Human Resources and Supply and Procurement.

With over 30 years’ experience in finance and corporate services roles, Diane has held roles with DTE Energy, Consumers Energy and Aria Energy. She was most recently an executive with Aria Energy in the United States. She is a Certified Public Accountant with a Master's degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor degree in Accounting.

Rocky Tondo - image
Rocky Tondo

Head of Project Delivery and Technical Services

Rocky is responsible for EDL’s North American Project Delivery and Technical Services division. The projects group involves the delivery of large-scale capital projects, including renewable natural gas (RNG) facilities. The technical services group provides a wide range of support to EDL’s North American operations, including NMF reciprocating engine support, maintenance planning, on-site and remote technical support, wellfield construction and environmental compliance.

Before EDL, Rocky worked at an independent power producer, managing a fleet of large power stations. He also has a background in the steel industry. Rocky holds qualifications in Electrical Engineering and has a Master of Business Administration.

Joshua Martincic - image
Joshua Martincic

Head of Business Development North America

Joshua recently joined EDL Energy in June of 2022 and serves as Head of the North American Business Development team.

Prior to joining EDL Energy, Joshua was Vice President of Business Development at Long Ridge Energy from 2019 to 2022, where he focused on carbon capture, hydrogen generating technologies, and converting their power plant to hydrogen.

He has held various roles at Antero Resources, driving the growth and development of the company’s midstream water and gas gathering business in the Marcellus and Utica Shale asset, as well as positions with Carbo Ceramics and Halliburton.

Greg Breadsell - image
Greg Breadsell

General Manager Clean Energy

Greg was appointed General Manager of Clean Energy Australia for EDL in March 2017. He is focused on the safe and efficient operation of EDL’s Clean Energy business and exceeding the needs of customers.

An experienced energy executive with over 25 years experience, before joining EDL in 2004, Greg held leadership positions in engineering and operations with Siemens AG and Santos oil and gas and worked in Europe, the United States and Australia. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology.

Geoff Hobley - image
Geoff Hobley

General Manager Remote Energy

Geoff was appointed General Manager Remote Energy for EDL in February 2017. He is focused on the safe, reliable operation of EDL’s remote energy portfolio and working in partnership with customers to meet their energy needs.

An experienced operations executive for over 15 years, Geoff joined EDL in 2012. Most recently he was General Manager Retail at Alinta Energy where he was responsible for the overall performance of the wholesale and retail gas and electricity business in Western Australia. He has a Master’s degree in Business Administration.

Europe

David Truelove - image
David Truelove

General Manager UK/Europe

David was appointed General Manager for UK/Europe in January 2017. He is focused on the safe, productive and efficient operations of EDL’s assets in Europe, and exceeding the needs of customers.

An experienced chartered management accountant for more than 18 years before joining EDL in 2014, David held positions within the small-scale, embedded power generation sector. Most recently, David worked with FCC Environment. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has a Bachelor’s degree in Business.
