EDL Chief Executive Officer joins Board of Australian Energy Council

EDL Chief Executive Officer James Harman has been appointed as a Director to the Board of the Australian Energy Council.

The Australian Energy Council represents major electricity and downstream natural gas businesses operating in the competitive wholesale and retail energy markets. These businesses collectively generate most of Australia’s energy supply, sell gas and electricity to over 10 million homes and businesses, and are major investors in renewable energy generation.

“I am very pleased to have been appointed to the Board, and look forward to working with the Board and members as Australia transitions to clean energy, bringing the perspective of a global producer of sustainable distributed energy,” James said.

James joins new Chair—EnergyAustralia Managing Director, Mark Collette and other Directors, Origin Energy CEO, Frank Calabria, AGL MD and CEO, Graeme Hunt, Alinta MD and CEO, Jeff Dimery, CS Energy CEO, Andrew Bills, Iberdrola Australia CEO and MD Ross Rolfe, Red Energy CEO Iain Graham, and Simply Energy CEO Shannon Hyde.
