About the LFG plant

EDL acquired both the Johnston and Brea LFG power stations in 2019. Together, these facilities showcase EDL’s landfill gas-to-energy expertise across the United States, with operations spanning both the East and West Coasts.

The Johnston plant has installed generation capacity of 33.1MW comprising four Solar Taurus 60 turbines, heat steam recovery generators and a steam turbine generator. An additional 6.4MW of Caterpillar reciprocating engines are available for utilizing excess landfill gas.
