About the power station
Laverton Power Station was commissioned in 2006, replacing the previous Horizon Power- owned and operated power station. The station has an installed capacity of 1.7MW, generated by six Volvo 279kW diesel gensets.
Increases in demand during the summer months are efficiently managed with temporary expansions. The station has not been permanently expanded since installation in 2006.
